The Florida State Seminoles (30-5, 10-5) had a great weekend against their rivals from South Florida. FSU swept the Miami Hurricanes to stake claim as the state champions. With the weekend sweep, Florida State pulled off the rare feat of sweeping both rivals (Florida Gators) in the same season. This feat was last accomplished by the Seminoles in 1960.
Up next, Florida State hosts the Mercer Bears (18-16, 3-6 Southern Conference) in a midweek showdown. The Bears are 4-6 over their last ten games, including a series loss to VMI last weekend.
