That hit belonged to 19-year-old Venezuelan catcher Jose Cedeno, who went 1-for-2 and scored the Guardians’ only run.
The run scored on an RBI groundout from 17-year-old Dominican shortstop prospect Welbyn Francisca. Francisca remains hitless through two games. Granted, it’s a small sample size.
Starting pitcher Eudry Alcantara allowed two runs on four hits with one walk and five strikeouts in three innings.
